Policy Beyond Borders: full risk insurance cover on 160 export markets

KUKE is responding to the pandemic-related economic crisis with the Policy Beyond Borders – a new insurance scheme backed by the State Treasury, encompassing exports to 160 countries and also covering political and force majeure risks apart from commercial risks.

KUKE among the three most dynamic insurers

In the first half of the year, KUKE topped the ranking of the fastest growing insurance companies in the non-life insurance sector in terms of the growth rate of gross written premium. With an yoy increase of 29.3% (up to PLN 57.3 million), we were third in the ranking prepared on the basis of data from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. In the non-life insurance sector, the entire market recorded a decline in gross premium by 0.9%.

BGK and KUKE support Wielton’s contract in Africa

Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego has supported an export transaction to another international market, the Ivory Coast. Wielton S.A. will sell its trailers there, and the transaction will be insured with KUKE. Now BGK is purchasing receivables under this contract. For Wielton, the bank and KUKE, it is another joint transaction on this continent.

New opportunities in exports to Russia

Russia as the direction of expansion is chosen by 46% of Polish companies which use the government's Financial Support for Exporters program. Companies present on this market can already support their exports with a new solution by BGK, which confirms documentary letters of credit opened in ruble. Until now, the bank used only to confirm letters of credit in PLN, EUR, and USD. From now on, transactions with Russian partners are made easier, and there can be more of them. What is important, transactions in ruble can now be covered by KUKE.

KUKE covers exports to EU and OECD countries in times of crisis

Polish exporters can obtain credit insurance from KUKE when selling to the European Union and selected OECD countries, despite the increased risk of buyer's default and reduced cover by other insurers. KUKE GAP EX and KUKE GAP EX+ are instruments created for the time of economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and are backed by the State Treasury.
